I'm Hooked!

I found the best website for people who are into easy do it yourself projects! I am totally hooked! It's called One Pretty Thing .com . Click here to see for yourself. It searches a bunch of different websites with directions for DIY projects on them and posts new DIY projects daily. Yes there are some completely hideous projects, (well a lot of them actually) but there are some adorable things too, like this pincushion I am making for my Grandma for Christmas, she loves to quilt.



I also made these fun magnets for my fridge with some leftover scrap fabric I had. The one negative to all of this is I am kind of retarded when it comes to using sewing patterns and things like that. If it requires much more than sewing straight lines, I am afraid it's not a project for me So we will see how this pincushion turns out. I am running out of time!

I have a big list of things I want to make from that website. We'll see if they EVER get done. I am famous for buying a ton of craft things, starting a ton of projects and finishing, you guessed it, none of them! Just ask my husband about it and he will kindly lead you to my "craft" closet filled with all sorts of forgotten projects!

First Post! (only took me a year to do it)

So I thought I would actually post something on my blog since I have technically had it for over a year, not that I have done anything with it. Hopefully my next post won't be another year from now! It's finals week and I am so excited for it to be over, not that I'm in school. I will have my husband back! Woohoo! I can't wait for the time when he comes home from work and we just get to do whatever we want (i.e. anything but his homework). He will be done with his Bachelor's in May thank heavens for that! I am making him take me on a date this weekend and I can't wait. Part of our date includes ringing the bell to collect money for charity in front of Wal-mart Friday night in the freezing cold, exciting hah! I know you are all jealous! So if you are feeling bored come by and visit and drop a dollar in the bucket so we can be beat Matt's co-workers at collecting the most money!
