No More Smelly Towels!

So you all may think this is such a strange thing to be sooooo happy about and an even stranger thing to post about but I am thrilled! I bought one of those energy saving front loading washing machines a few months ago and ever since my towels have stunk! You know that awful smell you get when your dish rag has sat in the sink for a few days, that is what my towels smelled like dry or wet despite the fact that they've been washed several times. Imagine getting out of the shower smelling like fresh, clean soap and by the time you dry off you smell like a dirty rag! It was terrible. I tried several types of detergents (couldn't use bleach because they're colored). I tried boiling the rags and everything else to get the smell out but nothing worked no matter how many times they were washed and no matter how fast I put them into the dryer. So finally a few days ago I decided to google it (you would think I would think of this sooner, but I didn't) and problem solved! It's such an easy solution. I'm sure many of you already knew this but I just had to share in case any one else suffers from this. All you do is run your load of towels with extra water (that's right no more energy saving when it comes to my towels!), use LESS soap and add a cup or two of white vinegar to your load and presto, no more stink! I think I've smelled my towels several times today (no they don't smell like vinegar) just because I can't believe they don't stink! Can you believe I suffered for so long?
